Houston Barbecue Co. has opened at 1127 Eldridge Parkway. The restaurant is
the first for Kurt Craig, who ran Luling City Market on Richmond Avenue for
more than 16 years. The barbecue is authentic Central Texas-style oak pit barbecue,
and all menu items are cooked fresh from scatch daily. The restaurant opened
with a large number of corporate accounts for deliveries and catering. Craig
says the west Houston area and Energy Corridor have been as supportive of his
new venture as the Galleria-area workers were of Luling City Market.
